Josie Newton
Josie Newton is a singer-songwriter & guitarist from Plymouth and has been writing, performing and producing ever since she could. Josie works as a music tutor/leader across the city, working with all abilities, the youngest being 2 and the eldest being in their 80s.
Josie has been performing her own music since she was 12 and released her debut EP ‘Colour Me In’ in 2010. After being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2013, Josie’s approach to music and her career had to change.
This year, Josie released her debut album ‘A Permanent Reminder’, written, performed and produced solely by Josie in her studio set up in the spare bedroom. the album explores the pain, grief, joy and hope that comes with living with an invisible disability and is available on all streaming platforms.
